Consignment Contract

 

We are so happy that you have chosen to partner with EDU Boutique to help sell your items! Our goal is to help promote & market your items to sell which includes posting on social media and other online outlets. We reserve the right to photograph your items for promotional & advertising purposes. By signing below, you, the consignee, acknowledge that EDU Boutique reserves the right to reject any and all items for consignment as we see fit. Items not selected for consignment must be picked up within 7 days of notification or they will be donated to a local organization.

 

The consignee & EDU Boutique both agree that the initial term of consignment for items is set to be 90 days from the date that the items were processed. The consignee will not ask for the return of their items prior to the end of the 90-day term. If an item does not sell within 90 days, the consignee will have 7 days to pick up unsold items. Once 7 days have gone by and items have not been picked up, the consignee agrees that the items then become property of EDU Boutique upon which time EDU Boutique reserves the right to retain the items or donate to a local organization.

EDU Boutique will do their absolute best to safeguard your items, however, we are not responsible for damage, loss, or theft.

 

By signing this agreement, consignee acknowledges that EDU Boutique will price all items accordingly & do so based on market research. EDU Boutique will strive to provide the best pricing that benefits all parties including the consignee, the consumer, & EDU Boutique. Consignee agrees that his/her items may be discounted at any time during the 90 days to properly market items.

 

The agreement certifies that the consignee shall receive 40% of the selling price of their items. Consignees may receive an additional 10% when you use your earnings as store credit at EDU Boutique. Payments for any items sold may be picked up at EDU Boutique as we will not mail checks. We issue payments & checks on the 1^st and 3^rd Friday of each month. Consignment merchandise as a return policy of 7 days. Due to this return policy, payment to consignee will not be issued until after the 7-day return period. If payment has not been collected after 1 year, EDU Boutique reserves the right to convert those earnings to store credit less the additional 10% given when choosing store credit as mentioned above.

 

The consignee warrants that he/she is the rightful owner of the items and has all rights to offer the items for resale. The consignee will be responsible for any loss resulting from any misrepresentation concerning ownership and condition of an item and will be responsible for any expenses resulting from said misrepresentation including costs and attorney’s fees.
